Dewdrop! :)

Her penchant for handbags, she must have picked up in later lives....:P, but her age old thirst for words, can be seen here.

She has in her hand the earlier dictionary. There were few English words then, which reflects on the size of the dictionary. These days, she requires a talldarkman, to carry it around with her. ;)

talldarkman :P

TDM,
I'd laugh it off with a lighter vein thinking you have an awesome sense of humor. But portraying such deities in the name of mere mortals can offend a few. And truly to be compared to a goddess of knowledge is a great honor. Thanks.

Incidently, theres something common bet our names. Go figure!

These days, she requires a talldarkman, to carry it around with her.;)
-Not quite! In this digital age when Fat dictionaries are available in light, sleek, compact, portable form, who needs a tdm? ;)

Am glad dewdy, you are the first one to step down this mockery of sacred-symbols by this guy.

And whomsoever said, even in a lighter vein, Sarasvati carries a dictionary in hand is one of the biggest fool in this world.

(I wanted to say Biggest Fool, but then George Bush would have been left out).

Bhaaluuu the great strikes....*lol*.

Folks....I am the last one to hurt anyone's sentiments. But I was taught...as a child...that God is everywhere, in every person, rock, water, trees....u name it. With so many Gods and Goddesses in Hindu mythology, portrayal of each one captures the tendencies in human beings.

The element of each, is present in every human being, in more or less degree. I am trying to capture these tendencies / qualities I observe in people I have interacted with. :)

I thought I would be able to freely express what I felt on blogs.....;)...that includes my interpretations of any pictures, symbols et al. If a certain section of the audience (read bhaaluuu...:P ), as thin as the total size of the audience maybe...*lol*, feels offended, they need not visit my blog...and distress themselves...;)

Though some of them would be at ease, being arrogant and unpolite in outrightly branding the publisher (of this blog), the blogger is mature enough not to retaliate in kind :)

Yeah you got lucky that real Kaali didn't strike you; though she may.

Folks....I am the last one to hurt anyone's sentiments. But I was taught...as a child...that God is everywhere, in every person, rock, water, trees....u name it.

You must have also been taught to respect God and not make a mockery about Gods and Goddesses. It's just that you remember to mock/argue without really thinking.

With so many Gods and Goddesses in Hindu mythology, portrayal of each one captures the tendencies in human beings.

It's time you should read Hindu _philosophy_ (and not mythology). There is no such thing as many Gods capturing different tendencies (whatever that means).

The element of each, is present in every human being, in more or less degree. I am trying to capture these tendencies / qualities I observe in people I have interacted with. :)

And you do that by saying that Dewdy is Sarasvati and she holds an english dictionary, and took you as an assistant. Brilliant as a coal!

I thought I would be able to freely express what I felt on blogs.....;)...that includes my interpretations of any pictures, symbols et al.

Sure, you can. Freedom comes at a price --- if you are willing to bear the price, I don't mind it.

If a certain section of the audience (read bhaaluuu...:P ), as thin as the total size of the audience maybe...*lol*, feels offended, they need not visit my blog...and distress themselves...;)

When you mar someone's symbol, even if he/she is alone, he/she would object. Remember Prahlaad.

Though some of them would be at ease, being arrogant and unpolite in outrightly branding the publisher (of this blog), the blogger is mature enough not to retaliate in kind :)

Okay continue your blasphemy. I will decide if something should be done as well.

I too object to the comparison of a goddess to mere mortals.
I dont see any sense of humour int this post and bhaalu is right. Dewdrop herself points this out to TDM. Just for a few laughs, you use pictures of God that many hindu's worship.
It is offensive. Please respect the feelings of Hindus.

TDM, you make me wonder whether you have any sense in your head. You proved you are sillier than what you are.

musings this is not funny for ppl who worship these goddesses. how can you expect one to "chill" while we are feeling offended here? The use of such holy pics to make a few bloggers laugh is wrong.
I am not condemning talldarkman as person. I visit his blog regularly and even laugh at his humour. It is just that such posts that are extremely offensive to religious people.
